Spa Getaway
Rejuvenate yourself and your relationship by spending a relaxing weekend at one of Connecticut's seaside spas. By the Sea Inn and Spa in Branford is housed in a Victorian mansion that has nine treatment rooms in which guests can receive an assortment of services such as European skin treatments, massage therapy and body wraps. Water's Edge Resort in Westbrook overlooks the Long Island Sound and uses 100% marine ingredients for their treatments. It also features an award winning restaurant known for its Sunday brunches. Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook is a full-service spa that offers sauna, steam and whirl pool baths and a variety of day spa packages. The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa at the Marriott in Groton provides both salon and spa services. The Spa at Norwich Inn is located on a 42 acre woodland property not far from the Norwich Public Golf Course. It is a comprehensive facility that not only offers a spa experience but fitness training as well.

Take your loved one to discover the wines of Connecticut on a free tour and wine tasting at Chamard Vineyards. Just head south on Rte. 9 and take the back road to Clinton, Rte. 81 south. Then indulge in some discount shopping at the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets also on Rte. 81 or Tanger Outlet Center in Westbrook. After working up an appetite, it is time to head over to the Stonehouse restaurant in Guilford for contemporary cuisine featuring both seafood and steak. It has been praised for being one of the most scenic locations on the shoreline and is one of the more popular restaurants in the area. Turn left onto Rte. 77 off of I-95, Exit 58.
